D of E - Gold
This very valuable and highly successful scheme is thriving and our sixth formers enter fully into the spirit of the award. Many have already completed their Bronze and Silver Awards, others enter the Gold Award direct. The high profile expedition is, of course, very important but students also have to complete four other sections including Skills, Community Service, Physical Recreation and a Residential Experience. The award is demanding but incredibly rewarding and provides an irreplaceable experience for our sixth form. Not only do they develop as individuals, but they also achieve an award which is well recognised and admired everywhere in the world.
