    Year 3

    Welcome to Year 3.

Our classroom is a happy, busy, friendly space where everyone contributes and everyone has something special to offer.

This year we will focus on becoming independent thinkers whilst facing lots of new challenges. This is something which is especially important as the children take their first steps into the juniors.

In Year 3 we study some very interesting and exciting topics such as the Ancient Greeks where we build models using Lego; Extreme Weather where we become weather forecasters for the day and Rock Detectives, a fun topic that includes two school trips!  As well as this, we spend lots of time in our brand new ICT and DT rooms making use of the fantastic facilities in there. We are also very lucky to have so much outdoor space within our school which we try to make use of as much as possible, right across the curriculum, from History to Science, Art to English. We aim to make learning inspiring, motivating, interactive and fun!

This year, every child will be encouraged to take risks, be creative and aim high in order to reach their full potential.
