Royal Insititution Masterclass for Maths
Royal Institution Masterclass for Mathematics
Congratulations to our Year 11 students, Amy Spry and Samuel Naylor, who have been selected to take part in the Royal Institution Masterclasses for Mathematics. The courses are designed to encourage, inspire and engage young people in the art and practice of mathematics.
The highly interactive sessions introduce students to aspects or applications of Maths which are not usually covered in the school curriculum. Topics cover a huge range of mathematical ideas, including diverse applications such as art, cryptography, programming, modelling and knot theory.
Amy and Sam start their course in January at Lancaster University.
