Modern Foreign Languages
Our purpose is to instill an enthusiasm and passion for languages learning whilst promoting the values of tolerance and understanding of other cultures.
The study of modern languages is both intellectually stimulating and enjoyable through the use of a wide range of techniques and resources, so that pupils can respond vigorously and independently. Pupils develop the skills, habits and attitudes that will support them in their study, work and leisure.
Pupils study both French and German, one of which must be continued to GCSE level.
Exchange visits, cultural excursions and work experience programmes further enhance their studies.
